Eyelet Lace FashionIn Spring, off come the heavy layers and thermal fabrics, in come light airy looks perfect for showing a hint of skin and indulging our girly impulses. For ladies who love a bit of frill and a whole lot of femininity, lace is a sweet and sexy Spring favorite, and this season, it’s all about eyelet.

Eyelet may be familiar to you, it’s that bit of country-chic style incorporating punched holes or “eyelets” into flirty floral, or unique geometric, lace patterns. This fabric is unapologetically pretty.

Eyelet was the fabric of choice this season for dresses at Louis Vuitton, and it’s not hard to see why. This lace is delicate enough to provide that sexy flirty feel, but with enough whimsy to to be worn casually. A white lace eyelet frock is cocktail chic or everyday cool, and trend setters from Cate Blanchett to Elle Fanning can’t get enough.

The who’s who of American sportswear such as Oscar de la Renta showcased fab separates like blouses, jackets, and shorts in this lovely lace. Looks ran the gamut from bohemian to pure elegance, meaning items for all styles and all occasions. Shorts and minis are our pick for daytime, while a blouse under a tailored blazer really works at work.

Go ahead and get girly this spring. Light touches of lace, or all over eyelets, add humor and sweetness to any look.
